Hazel Moody Arnold, 90, of Greenville died Thursday, March 3, 2010 at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson. Visitation and funeral Services will be Monday, March 8, 2010 at Ray Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m. with funeral services following at 2 p.m. Burial will be held at Drew Cemetery.
Mrs. Arnold was born on August 11, 1919 to George P. Moody and Bobbie Boyd Moody. She attended school at Drew High School. She married William D. Arnold October 25, 1951 in Mendenhall and worked full time as a homemaker and devoted mother. Mrs. Arnold loved to spend time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren who looked forward to her cakes and pies at every visit. She was an avid Atlanta Braves fan.
She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Bobbie Moody; daughter, Margie Steed and son, George Arnold.
Survivors include her husband, William D. Arnold of Greenville; Son, Ron Steed of Denham Springs, Louisiana; Step-son, Durwood Arnold of Largo, Florida; Brother, Aubra Moody of Greenwood; sister, Eunice Bibb of Greenwood; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Ron Steed, Jr., Josh Arnold, Justin Arnold, Terry Moody, Chuck Reynolds and Lee Flaherty.
