Ruby Leonard Dixon, 96, formerly of Fayetteville, NC , a resident of Golden Living Nursing Home in Greensboro, NC died Thursday April 30, 2009.
A native of Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Frank H. and Rosa H. Kearney. She was married to the late James L. Leonard and Calvin Dixon. Mrs. Dixon was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, May 3, 2009 at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Carl Hunter officiating.
Surviving are her daughter, Joyce Autry and husband, Howard of Greensboro, NC; her son Jerry Leonard and wife Shelbie, of Wilmington; step-daughter Myrt and husband Robert Wilkins of Stem, NC; dear friend, Jo Leonard of White Oak, NC; three grandchildren, Donald Autry, Joni and husband Phil, Jimmy Leonard; great-grandson David Autry and P.J. Smith; great-great grandson Hunter Autry.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27405 or to a charity of ones choice.
Funeral arrangements are with Hall-Wynne Funeral Service – Franklinton Chapel , 504 E. Mason Street, Franklinton, NC.
