HAFFNER, RUBY NELL April 22, 2012 Age 89 Beloved wife of Robert. Dear mother of Cherie Williamson and Marcy Haase. Loving grandmother of Katie, Julie, Jennifer, Matthew and Jay. Funeral service Monday 12 noon at the A. H. Peters Funeral Home 20705 Mack Avenue at Vernier Road, Grosse Pointe Woods. Visitation Saturday 2-9 pm and Sunday 2-8 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Lutheran Church 26400 Little Mack, St. Clair Shores 48081 or Moslem Shrine Center for Crippled Children. Mrs. Haffner cherished time spent with her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, reading, boating, traveling and camping. Mrs. Haffner retired from Lakeview Public Schools in 1983 after 21 years. She attended Raben Gap Junior College in Georgia, then Wayne State University where she received her bachelor and master degrees. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in St. Clair Shores, Ladies Oriental Shrine and Daughters of the Nile.
