Rudolph "Rudy" Raymond Trout was born on February 4, 1930, in Winthrop, Minnesota. He was the son of Alex and Emma (Martin) Trout. Rudy was baptized as an infant on February 23, 1930, at Zion Lutheran Church in Winthrop and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth on April 14, 1946, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Gaylord. He received his education at various country schools and Gaylord Public School. Rudy entered active military service on January 19, 1952, and served his country in the United States Army. He received the National Defense Service Medal and the Army Occupation Medal. Rudy was Honorably Discharged on February 29, 1960. Rudy was united in marriage to his first wife, Elizabeth Zirchenback in May of 1955 after he returned from Germany with the Army, and adopted her son Rudy. They were married until her death in 1975. On November 23, 1976, Rudy was united in marriage to Carol Haack at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Gaylord. This union was blessed with two daughters. After their marriage the couple resided in Gaylord. Rudy was a farmer and was employed at Green Giant in Glencoe, Unidoor in Gaylord, and the nursing home in Gaylord as a maintenance worker. Rudy and Carol shared 36 years of marriage. Rudy was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Gaylord. Rudy enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and reading. He especially loved spending time with his family. When he needed assistance with his daily care, Rudy became a resident of Oak Terrace Health Care Center in Gaylord in August of 2012, and passed away there on Sunday, July 21, 2013, at the age of 83 years. Rudy is survived by his: Wife, Carol Trout of Gaylord, MN; Daughters, Doreen Trout and special friend, Ryan Foss of St. Paul, MN, and Melissa Doom and her husband, Chuck of St. Peter, MN; Grandson, Jesse Trout and his wife, Erica of Clarksville, TN; Daughter-In-Law, Jane Trout of Clarksville, TN; Brother, Rueben Trout and his wife, Beatrice of Gaylord, MN; Sister-In-Law, Eunice Trout of Gaylord, MN; Brother-In-Law, Harvey Doerr of Gaylord, MN; Many Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends. Rudy was preceded in death by his Parents, Alex and Emma Trout; First Wife, Elizabeth Trout; Son, Rudy Trout, Jr.; Granddaughter, Mary Bullock; Sisters, Meta Doerr, Ruth Brown, Marie Stubblefield, Emma Stewart, and Emily Kranz; Brothers, Fred Trout and Alex Trout.
