Rudie Müller was born March 15,1949 in Djakarta, Java, Indonesia. The family emigrated to Obdam, Holland in 1955 and again to the United States of America in October of 1960. The Family was sponsored by St. Peter Catholic Church in Portland, Oregon, where he attended for a year until the family moved to the home on Malden Drive. He was promoted from Holy Family Elementary school and graduated from Benson High School, Class of 1967. After graduating he began working at Precision Cast Parts. Later he landed a position with Gresham Toyota and was employed there till he retired in February of 2011.
Rudie was a self-taught musician beginning with a ukulele his father had given him while in Holland. His love for music drove him to hone his musical gifts to become a rhythm/lead guitar player for bands such as the Phantoms, the Brother and Friends and more recently Target.
He married the love of his life, Susan Chaney, in 1976. In March of 1996 he lost his beloved Susan. During their marriage they began attending Damascus Community Church where Rudie used his musical gifts in the worship band. Here the Worship Pastor Rich Stafford recruited Rudie to join a ministry worship band to minister each summer at the Cannon Beach Christian Conference Center. Rudie spent his last week of his active life ministering and touching the lives of all those who were blessed to be in attendance, at this summer's Cannon Beach Christian Conference.
Rudie found another love in restoring his classic 1970 Dodge Challenger and enjoyed showing it in many car shows.
Rudie remarried in 1999 to Lorena Degaray which ended in divorce in February of 2011.
He is survived by his siblings, Leo, Leea Blonski, Linda Hing, Cherie Williams-Müller, Andrew, George, Paul, Joni, and Steve Müller.
