Russell F. LaForge, Sr., of the 400 block of Plummer Dr., Chesapeake, VA, passed away on of Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at his home. Russell served in the U.S. Army in Korea and was a construction supervisor for T. A. Loving. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ida L. LaForge; and a daughter, Donna LaForge. He is survived by three sons, Russell LaForge, Jr. and wife Anna, Robert LaForge and Kenny LaForge; nine grandchildren, Rusty, Jeff, Robert, Joey, April, Jay, Danny, Lisa and Dustin; seven great grandchildren, Kayla, Trey, Coby, Alexia, Danielle, Scotty and Faith; and a nephew, Bud Holland. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Highway Chapel and at other times at 2728 George Dr., Chesapeake, VA .
