Heavens light became a little brighter as our world became a little dimmer January 16, 2014 at 12:00 a.m., as our beloved Russell Cain 71 years of age went home to be with his Lord and Savior. His work on earth was done, but he will be so missed by all who knew him and loved him, his beloved wife of 53 years Linda Crowell Cain of Savannah Lakes McCormick SC, their three beloved sons; Russell Cain Jr, of Savannah Lakes McCormick SC, Gregory Cain (Athea) of Sault Ste. Marie MI, and Randy Cain of Monroe MI. Russ was preceded in death by his beloved parents the late Ray and Edith Carmony Cain and Russ and Linda's beloved grandson Curtis Cain and his many friends. Russ was born in Harlan Ky. He gave thirty years of hard work and dedicated service to Ford Motor Company. He worked hard and after retirement he played hard. He was an avid golfer and a phenomenal gardener. One of the many things he worked at hardest was to put a smile on everyone's face, bring a little cheer to their life and help lighten their load. Russ we love you and we miss you but, we know the saints in heaven are rejoicing. Memorial services will be at a later date. The family respectfully request, memorial contributions in memory of Russell Cain, to be made to the Hospice Care of the Piedmont, 408 West Alexander Ave, Greenwood, SC 29646. A message of condolence may be sent to the family by visiting www.harrisfuneral.com. Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Services is assisting the Cain family.
