Ruth (Daly) Mueller

CHICOPEE: Ruth (Daly) Mueller, 82, of Chicopee, died Sunday May 27, 2012 at Baystate Medical Center. Ruth was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late Edward and Lena (Achnick) Daly and was a graduate of Holyoke High School. She worked as a Secretary for the City of Holyoke Treasurers Department, and was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Holyoke. She volunteered at the Chicopee Senior Travel Club for 14 years and at the Holyoke Merry-Go-Round. Ruth was pre-deceased by her husband, George E. Mueller, who died in 1979. She is survived by a son, Mark Mueller and his wife Beverly of Bondsville, a daughter, Karen Mueller of Chicopee, and her grandchildren, William Mueller and his wife Melisa of Three Rivers, Heidi Mueller of Chicopee and Matthew Mueller of Bondsville, a brother Edward Daly of Holyoke, a sister Carol Hurley of Wilbraham, and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday at 10:00 AM at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Holyoke. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 34 Jarvis Avenue, Holyoke, MA 01040. Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
