Ruth E. Rumbaugh, 67, of Washington Township died on Monday, October 8, 2012 in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights.
Born on March 6, 1945 in Harrison Township, Allegheny County, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Hilty) Hollis and lived in the Apollo area most of her life.
Ruth retired in 2002 and had worked as a manager for Public Storage. She enjoyed quilting, doing needle point, crocheting, reading and following politics especially the GOP.
Besides her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Rumbaugh on October 16, 2011; a son Ryan Rumbaugh and a sister, Dorothy Clawson.
Survivors include 2 sons, Robert (Jane) Rumbaugh of Tennessee and Roger (Sandy) Rumbaugh of PA; daughter, Random (Steve) Benedict of California; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Charles and John Hollis; and a sister, Mary Neff.
At the request of the family all services will be private and have been entrusted to the Curran-Shaffer Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 100 Owens View Avenue, Apollo.
