Ruth E. Castellow, 80, of the 200 block of Woodbridge Drive, Chesapeake, VA, passed away August 23, 2011, in her home. A native of Norfolk County, VA, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary Curles, and the widow of Robert "Cecil" Castellow. She retired from Roses Department Store in Great Bridge as Operations Manager. She was a member of Heritage Community Church of Chesapeake. She is survived by her two daughters, Rebecca E. Bennett and husband Tom and Patricia C. Woodruff and husband Woody, all of Chesapeake, VA; a son, Robert C. Castellow, Jr. of Kill Devil Hills, NC; three sisters, Margaret Greer of Virginia Beach, VA, Gail Wilkins of Louisiana and Maria Sayan of Norfolk, VA; eleven grandchildren; and twenty-three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother and two sisters. A funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel with Pastor Asa Lowe officiating. The burial will follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens.
