Ruth F. Camisa of Cedar Knolls, died at her home on Tuesday, January 19, at the age of 100. Born in Newark, she lived in Morristown before moving to Cedar Knolls in 1954. Ruth is survived by her son Joseph and his wife Donna of Morris Plains; grandchildren: Diane and her husband William Foshay of Chester Twp, Joseph F. Camisa Jr. and his wife Kathy of Robbinsville; great-grandchildren: Billy & Courtney Foshay and Nicole & Shawn Camisa. Ruth was a very active person. Avid gardener until the age of 95, she grew her own vegetables. Member of Hanover Twp Seniors, she was with the VFW Color Guard in Whippany and with the American Legion, volunteering her time at Lyons Hospital. She also attended Hildale Park Church in Cedar Knolls. Prior to retirement, she worked in food service at Bell Labs in Whippany for close to 20 years. A Funeral Service will be held at noon on Thursday, January 21, 2009 at Bradley-Braviak Funeral Home, 49 Whippany Rd., Whippany. Friends may visit prior to the service at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 pm. Her burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Whippany V.F.W. Post 5351 or American Cancer Society.
