Ruth Mitsuye Aoki

Ruth Mitsuye Aoki, 93, passed away January 15, 2011, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on October 25, 1917, in Sunnyvale, California to Sashichi and Mikano Inouye. She married Mike Michio Aoki on July 23, 1946.

She was a long standing employee of the Salt Lake Tribune and the Kuong Jou Café, and was an active member of the Salt Lake Buddhist Temple.

She is survived by , Wayne and Pat Aoki (son); daughter, Sharen and Dr. Trevor Carmichael (daughter); grandson, Giles Michio Carmichael (grandson).

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Aoki; sisters, Mary Suenga, kand Helen Mitarai; and brother, Charles Inouye.

Services will be held Saturday, January 22, 2011, at 10:00 am, at the Salt Lake Buddhist Temple, 211 West 1st South.

The family wishes to extend their appreciation to the Intermountain Care Center, Highland Care Center and Care Source Hospice.
