Ruth Virginia Carroll, born July 29, 1928 in Detroit, went to be with the Lord Feb. 13, 2013. She is the mother of David C. (Judi) Louzon, James E. (Tina) Louzon, and the late Douglas C. Louzon. Grandmother of Michelle (Jon) Levering and Erin Fairman. Great grandmother to Austin and Mitchell Levering and Oliver Fairman. Her mother, father, sister, and brother preceded Ruth in death. Ruth was a long time member of the International Association of Administrative Assistants (IAAP). She was a long time choir member and participated in many other volunteer opportunities, as they came along, at Christ Lutheran Church. She also volunteered for The Parade Company, and enjoyed many years of walking in the Thanksgiving Day Parade. Ruth traveled extensively, including China, Indonesia, Thailand, Africa, which was a request from a struggling Lutheran Tanzanian community to help them with putting together a successful women's group. Most countries in Europe via cruising, and many cities in Mexico. She walked the Great Wall (China) and climbed the Sydney Bridge (Australia). Visitation Friday, 2-9 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr at Masonic (13 1/2 mile) Warren. Service Saturday, 11:00 am at Christ Lutheran Church, 32300 Schoenherr, Warren. Instate 10:00 am. Memorial contributions to Christ Lutheran Church.
