Ruth Wetherington

Mrs. Ruth Wetherington, age 88 of Alpharetta, formerly of Forest Park and Morrow passed away January 12, 2012. She was born in Charleston, WV to the late Ralph and Kathleen Rhule Ackles. She was preceded in death by her husband, William B. Wetherington, by her son, Steve Wetherington and a brother, Gene Ackles. She served her country in the United States Army during WWII and retired from Social Security. She was a member of the Morrow First United Methodist Church and enjoyed traveling and ball room dancing competition. After retirement she worked for the Atlanta Braves will call office. Survivors include her daughter in law, Pam Wetherington of Alpharetta; grandchildren, Mark Wetherington of Charleston, SC, Christie (Brad) Riker of Alpharetta; great granddaughters, Katey and Abbie; brothers, Dick (Betty) Ackles of Tyrone, Ronnie (Doris) Ackles of Morrow; sister in law, Dorothy Ackles of Richardson, TX.
