Sabina Garcia Telles, 88, of Greenfield, passed away surrounded by family, at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital, Saturday, September 10, 2011. Sabina was born April 17, 1923 in Corpus Christi, Texas, and had been a resident of Greenfield since 1946. She retired from the produce industry with well over 25 years of service. Sabina was an avid fan of sports, especially the San Francisco 49ers, Giants, and Los Angeles Dodgers. She greatly enjoyed gardening, taking care of her pets, adding to her collection of elephants, and most of all spending time with family and friends. Sabina was a very religious and spiritual person; she will be missed and remembered by all. She is survived by her children; Lily Santoya of Salinas, Jesse (Rosann) Telles of Soledad, Dolores (Servando) Aquirre of Greenfield, Louis (Silvia) Telles of Salinas, Dorothy (William) Jones of Salinas, Ofelia Osuna of Coalinga, Ray (Yolanda) Telles of Greenfield; 36 grandchildren (Chusma), 100 great grandchildren, 30 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Secundiano (Maria) Garcia, Ralph (Angie) Garcia; sisters, Pauline Rosas, Delfina Garcia. She is preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Telles, Sr; son, Manuel Telles, Jr; daughter, Elida Telles, daughter-in-law, Jeannette Telles; grandchildren, Steven and Beatrice Osuna. VISITATION: Wednesday, September 14, 2011 from 4 to 7 PM at Woodyard Funeral Home ROSARY: Wdnesday, September 14, 2011 at 7 PM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church FUNERAL MASS: Thursday, September 10, 2011 at 10 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church BURIAL: Greenfield Holy Trinity Cemetery
