Sally Joanne More, 75, of the 1300 block of Holly Avenue, Chesapeake, VA, passed away August 2, 2010, in Chesapeake, VA. A native of Norfolk County, VA, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Edith Morse. She had previously worked in Accounts Receivable with Delmarva and Twin B Auto Parts. She was a member of South Norfolk Congregational Christian Church, where she was church secretary, a member of the Truth Seekers Class and a member of the Official Board of the church. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society. She is survived by her daughter, Jane Smithson and husband Bill of Chesapeake, VA; her son, Allen More and wife Kathy of Chesapeake, VA; her sister, Gloria Ray Stewart and husband Bill of Chesapeake, VA; her brother, Joseph Borum and wife Teri of Lexington, SC; five grandchildren, Ashley Tatem, Lindsey Bland, Zachary More, Joseph More, and Haley More; four great-grandchildren, Daron Tatem, Journie Devold, Ashlin Tatem and Tristin Hutcheson; and a sister-in-law, Doris C. Morse. She was predeceased by a brother, Warren Morse. A special thanks to Virginia Oncology, Dr. Edward George, Karen Pearson and Eric Poulin for their care. A funeral service will be conducted Friday at 1 p.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel with Rev. Amos Eby officiating. The burial will follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens.
