Salvatore R. Marchello, 71, of Belvidere, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, May 03, 2011 at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center, Hackettstown, NJ. Born on February 29, 1940 in New York City, NY, he was the son of the late Philip and Camille Torregrossa Marchello. Mr. Marchello was an independent insurance claims adjuster for over forty years before retiring. Mr. Marchello was one of the original members of the Country Gate Players, Belvidere, NJ and had performed in and directed a number of plays. He also enjoyed music and art. Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Grace E. Sellars Marchello; three children, Philip Marchello and his wife Karen of Belvidere, NJ, Elisa Schumaker and her husband Rich of Long Valley, NJ and Cristina Correll and her husband Mike of East Stroudsburg, PA; a sister, Maria Knecht and her husband John of Belvidere, NJ; seven grandchildren; several nephews and nieces. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the charity of one's choice. This Online Memorial has been created to commemorate the life of Salvatore Marchello.
