Sam J. Printzos, 90, passed away Monday, February 6, 2012 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. Born in Muncie, he worked as an Architectural Draftsman with Allen County Planning Commission for 13 years, retiring in 1983. He was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church and a 65 years member of the Order of Ahepa. He was a World War II veteran and served in the Pacific and European with US Army Corp of Engineers. He was a Fort Wayne resident since 1969. He was a die-hard Cubs and IU fan and was sports enthusiast. He was a very compassionate, spiritual man devoted to the daily reading of the Bible. His great sense of humor and his quick jokes will be missed by those who knew him. He was a draftsman by trade but an artist at heart who enjoyed sharing his gift with others.

He is survived by his wife, Bess Printzos of Fort Wayne; daughter, Antonia Printzos of Fort Wayne; son, John S. Printzos of Fort Wayne; brother, Ted (Christine) Printzos of Decatur, IL; and sister, Pat Benos of Farmland, IN. Sam was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ourania Printzos.

Service is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 110 E Wallen Rd with entry prayer at 9:30 a.m.,with Fr. Bebis officiating. Calling from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Road with Ahepa service at 7:30p.m. followed by Trisagion service.
