Susan I have missed you over the years, and your mother I actually am back working at the Texarkana Gazette where we met 20 some odd years ago and would go eat lunch at your mothers, remember your mother hired my
boy friend when she worked at the Highway Dept Here in Texarkana.

I don't think we ever officially met but
we're your mothers neighbors. Facing the lake, we're on the right. I know we all enjoyed the fire works together on many July 4th's. We are so sorry to hear of her death. We did not find out about her until this past Tues. It was last Tues.night I think I noticed the palm tree was not lit. I guess a light went out that day. We did not see each other very often but we will miss her.

Susan & Dawn: We at the HSFD were very saddened to hear of Sammie's passing. She was such a strong woman and I know she was loved dearly by all her friends and family. She will be missed greatly. Susan - we love you and our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. You will always be a part of the FD family. Don't forget that.

Dear Susan,
Your Mother was very nice to me when she was working for the hwy department. I had asked her for several favors over the years and she was very accomidating. I am so sorry she is gone. I hope you are doing well.

Susan, I was so shocked to open the paper this morning and learn of Sammie's passing. I had just texted her last week because she had been on my mind a lot lately.
Wow, your mom was a fighter.....and a lover of life and others. She will truly be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.
