Samuel Robert "Bob" Lyon

Bob was a dear friend, former Sunday School teacher, fellow deacon, colleague, our pharmacist, mentor and friend for decades during our adult "growing up" period in NLR.
I can't ever remember a single time, despite how busy he always was, that he didn't offer an encouraging word, support and cheerful greeting.
He spent his life helping others and Janie, the boys and I will always be grateful to him for his friendship and kindness.
The Good Lord sure made a lot of folks

The Good Lord sure made a lot of folks but there never was a better one than Bob Lyon.
He set an excellent example for all of us through his longtime community involvement and Christian support.
I can only imagine the thousands of people whom he touched their lives over the years that lined up at Heaven's gate to welcome him home.
Through medicine, providing housing, working on the school board to help educate generations, mentoring many and all the other ways he reached out to lift people up, Bob helped so many people that never even knew it.
The world is a much better place because of Bob. We can all use the humble example he set as a mark to strive toward.
We'll miss you old friend, but I know we'll see you again and like always, you'll be there to guide and welcome us home.

So sorry to hear of your loss. I too have such wonderful memories of your family, the drug store, and Dr. Burns School. I know Mr. "Bob" is now in heaven doing what he does best - helping to care for his many friends like "little Annie Gatlin". Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all. Dear Carole, Marc and Robin, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. My earliest remembrance of Bob was as a Sunday School teacher at Levy Baptist. He was a man of great integrity and an excellent teacher. I know he was also a fine husband and father. We will all miss him.

Carole and children. We are so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. You are in our prayers. Bob and I go back a long way, having worked togther in our "Walgreen Days" and serving in each others wedding. He was a fine gentleman and friend.

Mr.Lyon helped many people through the years.

Bob was always a very kind,generous gentleman. He sold me & Mary diapers, medicine & milk on credit when we were very young & poor with 2 kids. We needed the credit to get by. That's hard to come by in a Drug Store today.God rest his soul. I hope the best for Mark, Robin & their Mother.

I was saddened to see that Mr Lyon had passed away. Your dad and mom always made me feel like a part of the family when i was in their home, and i will always treasure the time i spent with them, whether it was that first trip to watch the Razorbacks in Fayetteville, or watching movies, playing pool, ping pong etc... or trying to find "Larry".
