Loving Sister, Aunt and Friend, 48

After a courageous battle with breast cancer, Sandra Jo Acree, 48, of Clearwater, passed away peacefully at her sister's home in Odessa, FL on December 16, 2011. She was surrounded by loving family & friends.

Sandy was born on February 20, 1963 in Gallipolis, Ohio to the late Ervin Joe and Dollie Emogene Acree. She moved to Clearwater in 1970 along with her family. She attended Clearwater High School. She loved shopping, the beach and spending time with family & friends. She was a devoted sister, aunt, and friend who impacted the lives of many. This was clearly confirm as a large group of friends and family gathered the week before for "Sandy's Celebration". The outpouring of love and loyalty of her friends was a testimony to how she lived. She was employed by Saint-Gobain, as a Purchasing & Inventory Manager, where she distinguished herself among her peers.

Sandy is survived by her four siblings, Jane Jacobs, Safety Harbor, Carol Helicke, Odessa, Allen "Barney" Acree, Clearwater, Doug Acree, Parsippany, NJ; two brother-in-laws, Jack and Albert, sister-in-law, Melissa; surrogate sister, Star Light and fiance Nelson Capestany; 7 nephews & nieces, Sean, Kristi, Josh, Justin, Mariah, Dylan and Mikayla and 5 great nephews & nieces, Sean, Kylie, Hunter, Taylor and Colton. She was predeceased by her parents Ervin Joe and Dollie Emogene Acree. No words can express the void we will forever feel; she will live on in our hearts always. We love you Sandy!

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Dec 20th from 5-7; a memorial service will be held on Dec 21st at 2 PM at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, 2853 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater. Visit www.sylvanabbey.com.
