Dateline-Brentwood, NH Sarah Elizabeth Crane of Brentwood, NH was born July 28, 1972 in Buffalo, NY and died August 25, 2011 in Boston, MA. She formerly resided in western NY, southern CT, eastern MA, and Seacoast NH. One of her greatest joys was spending summers with family in Glen Arbor, MI. Sarah was a graduate of the Moses Brown School (Providence, RI), Lake Forest College (Lake Forest, Ill), and Suffolk University (Boston, MA) where she received her MA in Higher Education Administration. Passionate about her career in college admissions, she was the Associate Director of Admissions at the Wentworth Institute of Technology (Boston, MA) and a Board Member as well as the Chairman of the Membership Committee for NETA (New England Transfer Association) at the time of her death. Throughout her 39 years, Sarah spent as much time as she could arrange at the family cottage off Thoreson Rd. in Glen Arbor Township. While an undergraduate at the Lake Forest College, she worked summers in Glen Arbor and in Leland.Sarah is survived by her entire family. She was the beloved daughter of Mary Watkins Crane and Frank S. Crane III (of East Kingston, NH), cherished sister of Frank S. Crane IV and his wife Caroline (of Staten Island, NY) and Abigail Crane and her husband David Goldman (of Scarsdale, NY). Sarah was a devoted aunt to Claire and Charlie Crane, and Samuel and Benjamin Goldman. Sarah's life will be celebrated in a memorial service on the afternoon of Sunday, October 9th at 3:00 PM at the Exeter Congregationalist Church in Exeter, NH. Interment will take place in Leelanau County, MI. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests Sarah's wishes be honored and that donations be made to The Donald Lawrence, MD Melanoma Research Fund at MGH mailed to Massachusetts General Hospital, 55 Fruit St, Yawkey Center 9E, Boston, MA 02114.
