Sarah L. Roberts, 75, of the 700 block of Forest Glade Drive, Chesapeake, VA, passed away March 31, 2011, in Portsmouth, VA. A native of Saulsville, WV, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Sarah Holland Dixon. She was a member of Virginia Beach Free Will Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing, yard work, and caring for her beloved dog Hoku. She is survived by her husband, Jay Cee Roberts; five daughters, Pamela S. Johnson and husband Steve of Montana, Sandra K. Lindquist and husband Craig of Lusby, MD, Deb L. Gildersleeve and husband Jake of Chesapeake, VA, Nikki Bradley and husband Shawn of Chesapeake, VA and Paula L. Allen and husband Hobert of Beckley, WV; fifteen grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Virginia Beach Free Will Baptist Church, 210 S. Witchduck Rd., Virginia Beach, VA with Dr. J.D. Norris officiating. The burial will follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel is handling arrangements.
