Mrs. Sarah Mae Owens Raasch, 89, of Simpsonville, passed away Monday, February 7, 2011 after a brief illness. A native of Augusta, Georgia, she was the widow of Paul J. Raasch, and the daughter of the late J. C. and Sallie Owens. After a career in banking and retail, Mae devoted her life to caring for her family. She was a member of Simpsonville United Methodist Church and the Douglas Bible Class.
She is survived by her son, Jeffrey P. Raasch and wife Christel of Norcross, Georgia; two daughters, Patricia Tutterow and husband Nelson of Simpsonville and Gail Mayo and husband Sam of Newport News, Virginia; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, Feb. 11, 2011, at Cannon Funeral Home, Fountain, Inn, SC. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011 at Simpsonville United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Cannon Memorial Park, Fountain Inn.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to McCall Hospice House, 1836 West Georgia Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680.
