Selma J. "Sally" (Erban) Moore, 96, passed peacefully July 26 2011. Her husband of 48 years George Moore passed in 1992. She leaves her two sons, David F. and his wife Rosemary English Whitman of Millis and George P. and his wife Karen of Franconia NH; One sister, Evon Elias of Andover; Five grandchildren, Paul, Michael, Beth, Alyona, Lennie Moore, many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by six siblings, Ellen Alekel, Mary Boshar, Helen Erban, Herbert, Charles K. and John Erban. Mrs. Moore was born in Lawrence December 7 1914 the daughter of the late John and Marian (Ferris) Erban. She was raised there and worked at the family store prior to her marriage. Mrs. Moore then lived 7 years in Worcester, 46 years in Grafton and the past 14 years at The Willows, Whitney Place and Beaumont all in Westborough where she enjoyed many friends and the wonderful care of the staffs there. Sally as she was affectionately known by many, cherished her family and extended family, enjoyed a strong zest for life, shared a wonderful sense of humor and always maintained a positive outlook on life. Mrs. Moore volunteered at Mill Swan School in Worcester and for many disabled people. She was a member of St. George Orthodox Cathedral in Worcester, a former member and officer of The North Grafton & Westborough Women's Club and she served with The Grafton Community Nursing Association. Her family asks that in lieu of flowers you honor and remember Sally with memorial donations to a charity of your choice. Funeral & Calling Hours Funeral services are Saturday July 30th at 11 am at THE RONEY FUNERAL HOME 152 Worcester St. (Rt. 122 & 140) in North Grafton. She will then be laid to rest with her husband in Pine Grove Cemetery North Grafton. There will be calling hours Friday July29th at the funeral home from 5 to 8 pm and again Saturday from 10 to 11 am prior to the funeral service.
