Mrs. Shannon B Newberry

NEWBERRY, Mrs. Shannon B. Newberry, A native and lifelong resident of Mobile, died in a local hospital on Tuesday March 15, 2011. She was a lifelong member of St. John’s Episcopal Church and retired after 36 years with the GM&O- ICG Railroad. Preceding her in death were her parents, Martin and Angie Brabner, Sr. and her brother Martin Brabner, Jr. She is survived by her husband, Ben Schmerbauch; one daughter Kim(David)Partsch; two sisters, Irene(Howard”Butch”) Yeager and Angie(Johnny)Leon all of Mobile; sister-in-law, Anne Brabner, Bay Minette, AL; two grandchildren, Joshua(Jennifer) Partsch and Meagan Partsch; two great grandchildren, Mara and Cooper Partsch, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be held from St. John’s Episcopal Church at 1707 Government St. Mobile, AL 36604 on Friday March 18, 2011 at 11AM with Rev. Thomas Heard officiating. Visitation will start in the Great Hall at 10AM. The family request that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the St John’s Church Endowment Fund. Interment will be in Pine Crest
