Shannon R. Barnes, 37, of the 900 block of Bounds Avenue, Chesapeake, VA, passed away August 18, 2010. A native of Granite City, IL, she worked with the Chesapeake Police Department. She is survived by her husband, Bryan K. Barnes; her son, Kenneth Wayne Barnes; her mother, Elizabeth Ann Corbin; and an aunt, Katherine Monique McGhee. A memorial service will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Highway Chapel with Chaplain Russell Holland officiating.
