Mrs Sharon Lee McClelland

Born in Kansas City, Missouri, Sharon had been a Stockton resident for 50 years, moving here in August 1961. From May, 11, 1970 until January 10, 1997, she had a distinguished and fulfilling 26 year career with the Central State Credit Union, having served in many positions and retiring as its' Vice President.
To her family she was known as "Grams" and was preceded in death by her husband and best friend of 51 years, San Joaquin Sheriff Captain Dale W. McClelland. She is survived by her children: son Mark McClelland and son-in-law Kenneth Brown of Martinez; son Kevin McClelland, daughter-in-law Cristina and granddaughter, Molly of San Jose; daughter Shannon McClelland-Pilgrim, son-in-law Walter, grandson Shane Dale (Putter) and granddaughter Hannah of Discovery Bay; her brother James E. Vaughn, Jr. and sister-in-law Christine of Claremont, California; sister Barbara Ann Vaughn of Montgomery City, Missouri; brother-in Law Denny R. McClelland, wife Gerry, and nephew Jessie of Roselawn, Minnesota. She is also survived by many other beloved nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews all of which she stayed in contact with during her too short 69 years.
Sharon's passing leaves a huge, vacant space in our lives and her memory will forever be engraved in our hearts. Words cannot express how much we will miss you, Grams.
Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2011 from 11am to 5pm and the Memorial Service will take place on Monday, November 14, 2011 at 1 pm. Both events will occur at DeYoung Funeral Chapel, 601 N. California Street, Stockton, California 95202. Committal will follow at the Stockton Rural Cemetery.
