MOOERS FORKS-Sheila A. LaMoy, 53 of Mooers Forks passed away Saturday, November 2, 2013 at the CVPH Medical Center.
She was born June 13, 1960, the daughter of Stanley and Leita (Roberts) LaPier. She was very passionate about horses. She ran Sleepy Hollow Ranch with her husband. She loved going to garage sales and loved animals. Sheila was a free spirit, confident and compassionate. She "collected People", she was a mother figure to many kids. Her favorite phrase was "You gotta do what you gotta do."
She was predeceased by her mother, Leita LaPier, one brother, Alan LaPier and one brother in law, Jim Hurd.
Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Hugh LaMoy of Mooers Forks; her daughter, Heather Brothers, her husband Eric and their children, Kai and Chloe Hansen of Mooers Forks; one son Jason LaMoy and his wife Skyler of Plattsburgh; her father, Stanley LaPier of West Chazy; two brothers, Christopher LaPier and his wife Diane of Dubuque, Iowa and Dana LaPier and his wife Katrina of Fredrick, Maryland; three sisters, Sharon Garrow, her husband Tony and their children, Michelle and Jennifer of Schenectady, Casandra Hewson and Calvin of West Chazy and Shelly Hurd of Scottsdale, Arizona.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, November 6th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Ross Funeral Home in Mooers with a funeral service following at 7:00 p.m. at the Ross Funeral Home in Mooers.
