Sheila Lorraine Mitchell of Newark, formerly of Morristown died Friday September 23, 2011 at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. She was 58. Born in Reidsville, North Carolina on May 15, 1953 to the late John Albert and Ruby Blackwell. She was employed as a machine operator at Colgate Palmolive in Moristown where she worked for the past 33 years. Sheila was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Morristown, NJ. She received her education in the Morris School District and graduated from Morristown High School in 1973. Sheila was a loving and devoted mother of three. She was well known and loved by all. She had special bonds with co-workers, in-laws, nieces and nephews. Sheila leaves to cherish her memory her husband Willie Mitchell of Newark; children Stacy, Frederick and John Lyle of Morristown; grandchildren Stuart, Aa'isha, Destiny, Jailah and Ny'Aire Lyle of Morristown; stepchildren Willie Jr., Leon, and Samira Mitchell; sisters Jarnice Blackwell of Ruffin NC, Kim Blackwell Ellerbee of Reidsville NC, Tracy Spann and her husband Darren of Raleigh NC, Cecile Wright and Margaret Smith of Yanceyville NC; father and mother in-law Eddie and Ethil Mitchell; sisters in-law Inetha, Angela , Yolanda, Cheryl, and Cynthia Frazier and Renee Hughes; brothers in-law Leon and Cornell Mitchell; and a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
