On Tuesday, October 25, 2011 of Springfield, VA. Mr. Kaplan served as a U.S. Army Engineer Officer with the 138th Engineer Combat Battalion during WWII. Beloved husband of the late Hannah Kaplan. Loving father of Ron (Patty Lyman) Kaplan, Leon (Mary Ellen) Kaplan and Martha (Norman) Hallowell. Brother of the late Leonard and Morton Kaplan. Grandfather of four.
