Sherlyn "Glee" Parker, 75, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Parkview Hospital. Born in Lawrence, MI, Glee worked as a paraprofessional with East Allen County School for 20 years, retiring in 1996. She was involved in small group ministries and was a member of Oak Park Church. She was active in her church, and as a volunteer for Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home. She enjoyed playing euchre, writing poetry, IU basketball. Glee loved her family and cherished all her grandchildren. Glee touched the lives of many friends, and she will be missed by all who knew her. Surviving are her daughters, Jennifer (Dave) Stemen of Columbia City, Angela (Eric) Nichols of Fort Wayne, Tina (Troy) Noe of SC, son, Robert N. Parker II of Berne, sister, Becky (Les) Sebasty of New Carlisle, 22 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Glee was preceded in death by parents, Bernard and Edna Serene, husband, Robert Parker, daughter, Kimberly Parker, and grandson, Drake Nichols. Service is 10:30 am, Saturday, January 7, 2012 at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue with calling one hour prior, Pastor Joe Osborn officiating. Calling at the funeral home, Friday, January 06, 2012 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Burial in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Memorials may be made to Oak Park Church.
