Sheryl (Carpenter) Zent, 53, went peacefully at home surrounded by her family and friends, Saturday, December 10, 2011. Born in Ft. Wayne, IN, Sheryl worked at Peg-Perego for 16 years. Sheryl enjoyed crocheting, reading, and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Surviving are her husband of 37 years Allen D. Zent Sr., father, Jerry Carpenter, Sr., children, Allen (April) Zent, Jr., Christy (Ronald) Myers, Bobby Zent all of Fort Wayne, sisters, Tanya Carpenter, Rhonda (Rick) King, Tisa (Pat) Burnham all of Ft. Wayne, brothers, Jerry Carpenter, Jr., David Carpenter both of Fort Wayne, Robert (Tanya) Carpenter, Jason (Danielle) Carpenter both of New Haven, grandchildren, Justina Swihart, Joselyn, Sarah, Haley and Hunter Zent, Brady Myers, great granddaughter Kaylee Zent, and several nieces and nephews. Sheryl was preceded in death by mother, Wilma Carpenter. Service is 11:00 am, Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue with calling one hour prior. Calling at the funeral home Tuesday, from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Burial in I.O.O.F.
