Annette "Sam" Hughes, 70, of Gladstone, MO, passed away December 22, 2011. Funeral service will be 2:00pm Wednesday December 28, 2011 at the Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Annette was preceded in death by her parents S. Glen and Wilma Mason, and brother Donald Mason. Survivors include her children Sheim Hughes, Stacy Hughes of Gladstone, MO and Heather Pace and husband John of Kansas City, MO. 3 grandchildren Anna Marie, John Anthony and Nicholas Pace, and father of her children, John Hughes. Annette was a graduate of North Kansas City High School in1959, and also a graduate of Southwest Missouri State. She worked for the North Kansas City, School District and taught Physical Education. Annette was a member of Winnwood Baptist Church for 55 years. In lieu of flowers make donation to Crossroads Hospice 2900 NE 60th Street, Gladstone, MO 64119.
