Shirley Ann Thomas, 73, of Columbia, passed away on May 15, 2009 after a very long illness. She had been living at The Bluffs Nursing Home for six years and that is where she passed.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, May 18, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home. Jim Allen of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses will be officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until time of services.
Shirley was born on September 28, 1935 in Madison, Missouri to William and Clara Ragsdale McCann. She was married on November 11, 1950 in Moberly to Charles Dennis Thomas.
She is survived by her son Charles Danny Thomas and his wife Teresa and their children, Cody Dane, Fabian and Dustin; daughter, Sherrie Denise Parks and her husband Monte and their children, Misty Allen and her husband Jeff and their two sons, Cole and Noah; daughter, Kathy Hake and her husband Jeramy and their two daughters Maiah and Alexis; two sisters, Jo Peters of Carrolton, Missouri and Peggy Canaday of Paris, Missouri; four sisters-in-law, Vicki, Doris, Shirley and Violet all of the Moberly area.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, her wonderful husband Charles who passed in October 1990 and her brother Raymond Dee McCann.
