Shirley Ann Davis, 76, Kokomo, passed away at 5:52 PM, Sunday, March 31, 2013 at Caring Hands Health and Rehab. She was born on July 6, 1936 in Kokomo to the late Clifford and Oleta (Livingston) McCoy.
Shirley lived with her grandparents, Ralph and Georgia Livingston. She attended Kokomo High School. Shirley worked in the health care profession as a nurse's assistant for over fifteen years. The most important achievement in her life though, was her children and grandchildren. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with them, and going fishing. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to New Hope Hospice, and the staff at Caring Hands Health and Rehab.
She is survived by her five children: Kenny (Deb) Taylor Jr., Bunker Hill, Norma (John) Nantroup, Kokomo, Mike (Sandy) Abney, Russiaville, Bobby Abney, Marion, Jill (Jamie) Bieber, Kokomo, grandchildren: Matt Hayden, Lindsay Nantroup, Jeremy (Lori) Bieber, Jesse Bieber (Alli Padrick), Jennifer Bieber, Misty (Josh) Becraft, Teri Melton (Adam Buffum), Brandon Jolly, Darin Abney, and Bo Abney, niece; Patricia (Junior) Thorpe, Galveston, nephews: George (Toni) Slaughter, Frankfort, IN, James (Nadine) Slaughter, Plainfield, IN, several great grandchildren, and great nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister; Bonnie Nead, grandson; Chad Abney, and nephew; Steven Slaughter.
Due to Shirley's wishes there are no scheduled services.
