Shirley Ann Moore Marlowe, of Chesapeake, VA, 82, died September 22, 2011. She was born October 31, 1928 in Scotland Neck, NC to the late Andrew Paul Moore Sr. and Ora Webb Flowers. She was long-time member of Centerville Baptist Church. She was predeceased by two sisters, Pauline Parker and Virginia Hughes; and three brothers, A.P. Moore, Jr., Marvin "Bud" Moore, and Robert Moore. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Phillip Marlowe; two sons, John Marlowe (Millie) Moyock, NC and Bill Marlowe (Elizabeth) Suffolk, VA; three daughters, Ann Walthall (Steve) Richmond, VA, Phyllis Maness (Tommy) Chesapeake, VA, and Elaine Lassiter (Jimmy) Virginia Beach, VA; five grandchildren, Keith Marlowe, Stephanie Brown, Neil Marlowe, Christy Marlowe, and Michael Churn; and six great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Elsie Woodard, Jacksonville FL and Mary Alexander, Scotland Neck NC; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted on Monday at 1 p.m. in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel with Rev. Kevin Ritter officiating. Interment will follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends at the funeral home Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to Centerville Baptist Church, 908 South Centerville Turnpike, Chesapeake, VA 23322.
