Like Job, I've never visited the storerooms Where God keeps His snow. He flings wide the gates And each dancing flake Magnifies his sovereign show. The sparkling white oblation Calls to mind this proclamation: "The Lord is my salvation. The Lord is my light." Darkness has been defeated By God's lifegiving Lamb And I sing praise to the Great "I am." I lift my hands and praise explodes: Faith, hope, and joy grow. With a grateful shout, tears overflow And my spirit soars With the Spirit Snow. Shirley Larson 2007 In a letter of final instructions Shirley reminisced about a day on her back porch.... "As I sat I had some thoughts about the time when I cross over into a new life. A warm breeze cooled my face. How lovely it felt. And I knew then…Holy Spirit fire beckons. I wish to be cremated and I want my ashes brought home... and on a warm windswept day... I want to fly free... or on some wild wonderful flurry winter day, my Spirit will soar with the Spirit snow."
