Waltham – Mrs. Shirley M. (Kelley) Hurley, of Waltham, died Saturday, June 6, 2009 at Hearthstone at New Horizons in Marlborough. She was 82.

Shirley was born in Somerville on July 16, 1926, a daughter of the late Archie and Dorothy (Noble) Kelley, and had lived in Waltham for most of her life. She had worked at several companies in the Waltham area. Shirley had lots of hobbies that included playing bingo, bowling, sewing, knitting, card playing and board games.

She leaves her children, Ray Anderson of Fitchburg, Elaine Anderson of Waltham and Kenneth Hurley of Canterbury, New Hampshire; her brother, Richard Kelley of Florida; 5 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was also the mother of the late Ann Vazquez and sister of the late Paul Kelley.

Family and friends will honor and remember Shirley's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and again at 11 a.m. on Wednesday morning when her funeral service will be held. The Rev. Robert F. Hoaglander will officiate. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
