Shirley "MA" Boutte Elfer passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2012, age 86. Born to the late Alice Verret Boutte and Elie Boutte. A native of Garyville, LA and resided in Metairie until the death of her beloved husband Douglas Joseph Elfer, Sr., A resident of Prairieville, LA. Mother of Douglas Elfer, Jr. (Stephanie), Darlene Elfer Smith (Ronald), and Debra "Cookie" Elfer Pecquet. Sister of Lester Boutte. Survived by 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by brothers, Leo Boutte and Lee Boutte; and sisters, Alma Castolanos and Beulah LeBlanc.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. (in Metairie Cemetery) on Friday, February 10, 2012 at 12:00 PM.
