Shirley Martin "Ms. Kitty" Lupo, 72 years old of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away Friday, January 20, 2012 at her residence in Amite, La.
She was born on Monday, September 11, 1939, in Hammond, La., daughter of the late Henry Martin Sr and the late Mary Strahan Martin.
Surviving are stepson, Joseph "Joe" Lupo, stepdaughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Terry Duncan, stepdaughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Phil Verberne, brother, Carl Martin, niece and husband, Sandy and Tim Cronin, grandchildren, Joe Lupo III, Amy Populis, Amanda and husband Jeremiah Willie, Christi and husband Wayland Willie, Amber and husband Joe Easley, Shelly and husband Chase Sharkey, and Lauren and husband Dennis Blades, 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by former husband, Joseph J. Kives, husband, Joseph V. Lupo Sr., sister, Mary Lee Achord, sister, Katie Martin Kives, brothers, Henry Martin Jr., Elliot, Eddie, Lloyd, and Troy Martin.
Friends will be received Monday, January 23, 2012 from 9:00 am until 12:00 noon at Harry McKneely & Son Hammond .
Services will be held at Harry McKneely & Son Hammond , Monday, at 12:00 noon.
Interment will follow in the St. Margaret Catholic Church Cemetery Albany, Louisiana
