Sibyl Estelle Richards, age 89, of Arcadia, IN died Monday, June 11, 2012 at Maple Park Village at Westfield, IN. She was born April 24, 1923 at Mobile, AL to Charles and Fannie Mae (Cromer) Partain.
Sibyl was a graduate of Broadview Academy at LaGrange, IL and of Andrews University at Berrian Springs, MI. She first taught high school at Michigan and Wisconsin for ten years and then worked as an accountant at Worthington Foods at Worthington, OH for thirty years.
Sibyl was a member of the Cicero Seventh Day Adventist Church.
She married Arthur Richards on July 18, 1954. He preceded her in death March 13, 2011.
Surviving her is a daughter and her husband: Mary Ann (Alan) Smith of Arcadia, IN, a sister: Evelyn Robison of Glendale, CA and three grandchildren. In additon to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son: John Richards.
Memorial services will be held at a later date at Kingwood Memorial Park at Lewis Center, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to Indiana Academy Worthy Student Fund, 24815 State Road 19, Cicero, IN 46034. Arrangements are entrusted to Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel
