Torruella, Socorro 75, Brooklyn, NY, passed away on January 9,2012 at Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn, NY.

She was born in Puerto Rico and eventually moved to Brooklyn with her family.

She was predeceased by her husband, Jorge, and her son, Roberto. Survivors include 4 daughters, Elizabeth Gavieres; Lourdes Sepulveda; Nancy and Sandra Torruella; 3 sons, John and Edwin Quintana and Angelo Ortiz; her mother, Dolores Vasquez; 3 siblings, 16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
