Dear Loved Ones Of Stan,
I am so sorry for your loss of your beloved Stan. I had the wonderful honor and joy of knowing Stan through his friendship with my brother, Bob, in the late 60's and early 70's. I saw Stan as being a very genuine and devoted friend, who was very willing to freely and lovingly give of himself to others. One of my late Dad's favorite memories of Stan was of Stan and his best friend, Jeff, working through a very cold winter's night in our garage on Bob's car to get it up and running again! To my Dad, this was an amazing example of selfless friendship.
I was one of the three passengers in Stan's Chevy "Muscle Car" when it fishtailed (out of control), flipped over onto its roof, skidded down the highway, and the engine caught on fire. Miraculously - by God's grace/intervention - all four of us survived. While the other three were hospitalized, I actually walked away from this accident without a scratch. And God most definitely used this accident to get my attention - to get me to most seriously ask and consider what my life was all about - and to ultimately lead me to the realization that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Then, by faith, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord, Savior, and Friend (“Jesus answered, ‘I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. The only way to the Father is through Me’” - John 14:6; "This is how much God loved the world: He gave His Son, His One and Only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in Him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life" - John 3:16). Having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ/God and growing in my knowledge of His perfect and infinite love for me and growing in my love for Him and others (with God's empowering) over the past four decades has enabled me to have a great full and satisfying life and has meant everything to me ("I [Jesus] came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of" - John 10:10). So, I will always be wholeheartedly grateful to God for Stan and for how He worked through Stan to bring about for me the ultimately best outcome ("And this is the real and eternal life: That they know You, The One and Only True God, and Jesus Christ, Whom You sent" - John 17:3; “I [Jesus] tell you the truth, those who listen to My message and believe in God Who sent Me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life" - John 5:24)!

It saddens both Keith and I to hear of Stanley's passing. We both thought Stanley was the nicest man...often chatted when outside doing yard work. He worked so hard to make his property look nice and will miss seeing him out and about riding his tractor. Gosh, he is gone too young, too soon. Our sincere condolences to Stanley's family.

Stan, It was always a pleasure to see Stan on our walks. He was hard at work with his property; it always looked wonderful. I am sure he is line dancing in heaven. God Bless you Stan.

stan was a beloved member of our group bsg. he wasn't with us very long but the time he spent with us was memorable , he made us laugh , he had a kind gentle soul and he will be greatly missed -diane vough
