Stephanie "Steffi" Bach

I grew up with Mrs. Bach's son Hans and lived in the same neighborhood. We also attended Holy Souls and Catholic High together. I remember many times Mrs. Bach always had cookies for us when we came in from playing in the neighborhood. As the years passed, I would drive by her house and always see her working in her garden. She was loved by everyone in the neighborhood and will be missed by all of those who knew her.

I am so sorry to hear about Mrs. Bach. I was acquainted with Mrs. Bach through Fletcher Library where I work. I always looked forward to seeing her on Saturday. We enjoyed the same kind of reading. I was always glad when she liked the books that I recommended. I saw her last Saturday, Jan. 14th and got to speak with her briefly. She was a joy and I will miss seeing her at the library.

I am a former classmate of Hans (Stephen) as mentioned here I can also clearly remember Mrs Bach teaching her the words to Silent Night in 6th grade at Holy Souls. As an adult I would visit with her at mass and when she or her husband did work for me. Her faith was always evident even in trying times.
I know she is smiling on her grandchildren with her husband and son by her side.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Bach a few years ago when Britani invited a few of us to meet "Omi" during Christmas break. It was a wonderful experience and Omi was a one of a kind lady, I will never forget the stories she shared with us that day. Britani you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

The late Stephen Hans Bach was our classmate at Our Lady of the Holy Souls Catholic grade school in Little Rock. In December 1972, Mrs. Bach came to our 6th grade class to teach us "Stille Nacht," the original lyric for "Silent Night." I still remember the words.

Also, I recall the many visits we would make to the Bachs' home, marveling at the handiwork of both Stephanie and her husband.

Thank you, dear lady. You made this world better in countless ways.

I've known Steffi (and Hans) all my life. They were friends of my German grandfather, who helped set Hans up in his woodworking business, and gave him a space in the rear of his office. Steffi was one of the most gracious, dear, sweet, Godly women I have ever met. I have many, many of her things-especially Christmas. I have always treasured them, and will do so even more now. God has a new angel in Heaven!

I have been fortunate to have known Stephanie through a friendship with Stephen. What a strong and warm person! I was fortunate to have received a card and pictures from her last week. She was very proud of her Grandchildren. My Thoughts and prayers are with he family.

Mrs. Bach was a lovely and interesting person. My son and I visited her, and loved to hear the stories she told us. She was a delight.

Several years ago, when I hosted the Antique Club in our home, she gave me 3 little angels that she had made. I will always remember her gentle kindness and her love for her family and dear friends.
