entering high school my friend Sheila and I wanted a end of the summer party. Steven thought it a great idea. For three days we soaked up the last of the summer rays in Stevens back yard. He brought out his stereo and records. We played them for three days straight. One we played over and over Ghost rider in the sky. The only volume Steven knew was on high. Its a wonder the neighbors didn't call the police. Steven you can play your music as loud as you want now, Love you Bernadette

Dear Bruce and Jean,
It is so hard to loose a loved one at any time of year but especially at Christmas. I hope as you reflect back on Stephens life that you are able to remember the wonderful Christmas memories that you shared together and know that he is now looking down on you...he will now be your very own Christmas angel. I pray for you and your family during this time of grieving and I am rejoicing for Stephen who has now been reunited with his wife, mother, and God. Much love! The Maitland family

Bruce, you were the best big brother any little brother could ask for. You were relentless in your care and concern for Stephen. You made sure all of his needs were met, wether it be at the hospital in the wee hours of the morning or just making sure he had good socks and T-shirts. you took great care of him for a very long time. I am very proud to call you my friend. Time will heal the pain of your loss but thankfully the memories live on forever.
