Stephen Francis Johancsik passed away December 24, 2010. He was born June 7, 1920 in Stratford, Connecticut to Margaret Stefurak Johancsik and Stephen Johancsik. He married Jeanne Bodell February 11, 1949.

He graduated from Pasadena High School in 1938 and graduated Pasadena Jr. College with an associates degree in the electronics field. He was in the US Navy from 1944 to 1946, there he was a Machinist Mate Third Class and served on the USS Terry.

He was a lifetime member of the VFW and a member of Moose Lodge. He danced at the Hollywood Bowl in his youth. Steven enjoyed cruising, camping, mushrooming, woodworking and took up skiing in his 60’s. He loved to fix anything.

Stephen retired from Litton Data Systems as an industrial engineer. He also worked in Ireland with Lockheed Overseas Corporation.

Stephen is survived by his wife, Jeanne, children Stephen Michael (Jane) Johancsik, and Tracy Lyle Johancsik, and sister Evelyn DeWolfe Koskie.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Louis James Johancsik DeWolfe and Daniel Johancsik.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Mountain View Memorial Chapel, 3115 East 7800 South, Cottonwood Heights. Friends and family may visit one hour prior to services. Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 South 1900 East, Sandy, Utah.
