Stephen William Morris, III, 65, of Liberty, Missouri, passed away February 27, 2011. Mr. Morris was born in Fayette, Missouri. He was a 1963 graduate of Liberty High School and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from William Jewell College in 1967, majoring in economics. He served in the United States Army. Mr. Morris had been the owner and operator of the Liberty United Super and Food 4 Less grocery stores in Jefferson City and Moberly, Missouri. In later years, he had been a Realtor with Prudential Duffey. His favorite career was Full-Time Grandpa to five beautiful grandchildren. Mr. Morris was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Ann Morris of the home; daughters Sara (Mel) Corpuz of Kansas City, Missouri, and Rebecca (Leslie Cope) Morris of Liberty, Missouri; brother, John Mike (Jeanneen) Morris of Liberty, Missouri; sisters, Marilee (Hugh) Gabbard of Richmond, Kentucky, and Betsy (Stan) Clark of Marana, Arizona; his grandchildren: Charlie & Anna Cope-Morris and Owen, Noah, & Lily Corpuz. Visitation will be held at 3:00 p.m. and the Memorial Service will be held at 4:00p.m., Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at Church-Archer-Pasley Funeral Home. The family asks for no flowers and suggest contributions be made to the NorthCare Hospice, 2900 Clay Edwards Drive, North Kansas City, Missouri 64116. He was loved beyond measure and will be greatly missed.
