Steven R. Cook, age 42, of 443 1/2 South Logan Street, South Bend, Indiana, passed away at 12:06 p.m., Saturday, February 4, 2012, at his home. Steve was born on September 13, 1969, in South Bend, to Donald and Helen (Whitaker) Cook. Steve worked in the construction business, as a carpenter. Steve will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Steve is survived by his fiancé, Stacey Rombkowski; his daughters, Stephanie Cook of Bremen, Indiana, Sabrina (Alex) Vuittonet of Bremen, Cambria Cook of Talma, Indiana, Adriana Cook of South Bend, Crystal Hardesty of Plymouth, Indiana, and Brianna Cook of South Bend; two sisters; his brothers, Scott Calhoun and Charles Nick both of Bremen; 12 grandchildren; and his step-father, Edward Hollan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Cook and Helen Cook Hollan; and his brother, Keith Nick. Visitation will be on Friday, February 10, 2012, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 West Madison Street, Plymouth, Indiana. Services will be on Friday, February 10, 2012, at 4:00 p.m., at Van Gilder Funeral Home, with Pastor Vito Rullie, officiating.
