Susan Elizabeth Judd, 61, of Granite City, IL, formerly of Venice, IL, passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, IL. She was born on December 24, 1950 in East. St. Louis, IL, a daughter to Charles W. and Dorothy J. nee Ballentine, Sherfy, Sr. Susan had worked for Gale & Soble, St. Louis, MO, and Missouri Athletic Club and was a supervisor at APA, where she took pictures of all of the animals for the "Pet of the Week" for six years for the Press Record. She was also a freelance photographer, wedding photographer and videographer. She enjoyed making crafts and cakes and was a former Girl Scout leader at St. Mary's Catholic School. On October 17, 1970 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Madison, IL, she married Lorenzo "Larry" Judd; the love of her life. She was preceded in death by her father. Susan is survived by her loving husband, Larry Judd; two wonderful daughters, Angela Sue (Robert) Greco and Amy Elizabeth Judd; beloved mother, Dorothy Sherfy; three grandchildren, Chadd Petrosky, Dustin Petrosky and Tessa Loren Petrosky; one great granddaughter, Sicily Petrosky; four nephews, twelve nieces and many dear friends. Visitation: Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road, Granite City, IL. In celebration of her life, a memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at the funeral home with Pastor John Gamblin officiating. Private interment will be held in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO. Memorial donations may be given to the Elephant Sanctuary in Hohenwald, TN. www.irwinchapel.com
